Happy Shrove Tuesday

We love Shrove Tuesday aka. Pancake Day! There are so many variations of making and dressing your pancakes these days and we have our go to healthy pancake too. Why not try out our raw, vegan, sugar free, gluten free banana and chia seed pancake recipe.

Tip: Make the pancakes the day before and leave the dehydrator on timer to enjoy in the morning.

  • 10 ripe bananas

  • 82grams chia seeds

  • Pinch of ground cinnamon

  • Dash of vanilla extract

Optional extras
  • Blueberries

  • Chopped strawberries

  1. Peel all of the bananas and roughly break them up into sizeable chunks into a blender and blend to create a thick consistency.

  2. Add in the chia seeds, cinnamon and vanilla extract and blend again.

  3. Line the dehydrator trays with baking sheets and pour the batter on to create small round pancakes, ensure to leave enough room around each circle of mixture as it will spread. You may also want to press in some strawberries or drop some blueberries onto the circles.

  4. Put the trays into the dehydrator at 110 degrees for eight hours. Turn them over and put in for an additional two hours.

  5. Once dried, they are ready to devour as they are or you can top them with honey, maple syrup, mango date sauce or even banana ice cream.
